Watch it play

Draw the lane. Hold paws.

Drag from an otter to its buddy and a lane follows your finger through the kelp. Join every pair and fill the whole cove, and the otters swim to each other, hold paws and twirl under a big heart.

  • 100 levels, each one proved before it ships: one answer, and only one
  • Ducks, driftwood logs, whirlpools, ice, buoy ropes, pups and clams, one new kind at a time
  • A baguette by the level's sign, to throw to the ducks while you think

How to play

One rule. Lanes never cross.

That is the whole rule. What grows is the cove: from 5 by 5 to 8 by 8, with something new about every ten levels.

    Drag from an otter to the one in the matching floatie, and a lane follows your finger. Draw over another lane and it washes back.

    Three stars at par

    Par is one move per pair: finish within two moves of it for three stars. Stuck? From level 30 a hint shows one lane the way it goes.

    Join every pair and cover every square. The otters swim along their lanes to each other, hold paws and twirl.

The chill zone

Then everybody floats.

Between levels the otters float in the Cove, painted at golden hour. Left alone, they raft up side by side and bob in step.

Toss a clam to an otter and it cracks it on the rock it keeps on its belly. One clam in eight hides a pearl, and six clams a day are free.

The cove shop

Things to wear (a kelp wig, a clamshell cap, a sleep mask, a walrus moustache, a shell whistle that answers the ducks), things for the Cove (a clam bed, juggling pebbles, a rock crab, the kelp forest, the dock, a pup to ride on a belly) and more clams. Or adopt another otter and give it a name.

The far cove

Buy the cove bigger, twice, and everyone draws smaller with room for more. Over the driftwood log waits the far cove, a second cove you swipe to, where the squid boat and a wild raft of eight can go. The grand prize is the Moon: it's a rock, the biggest one. When your phone switches to dark mode, the cove turns to night.
