I paid, but the levels are locked
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases.
The store gives back everything you bought for good: your unlocks (every game, or the ones you unlocked one by one) and Unlimited lives.
It works on a new phone too, signed in with the same Apple Account or Google account.
Bags of coins are spent the moment they land, so there is nothing of theirs to restore.
What is free, and what costs money
Free in every game: levels 1 to 50, the shop, the chill zone, the radio and everything to do with the animals.
Every game, every level, 1.99 USD once: every level past 50 in every game, games added later too.
One game, every level, 0.49 USD once: every level past 50 in that game.
Unlimited lives, 0.99 USD once: lives are never counted again.
Bags of coins, whenever you like: 50 for 0.29 USD, 100 for 0.49 USD.
Prices are in US dollars, plus applicable taxes. The stores show the price where you live.
No subscriptions. No ads to watch.
How lives work
You start with forty, and forty is the most you can hold. Every game draws on the same forty.
Every try costs one: starting a level, trying it again, moving on to the next.
Win the level and that life comes back. Nothing inside a level costs one.
Three return every thirty minutes, app open or not. Seven hours away and you are full.
Every shop sells one for five coins.
With none left the level waits, and the lives sheet counts down to the next.
Unlimited lives is one payment for good. Restore purchases brings it back on a new phone.
How stars work
Three per level. Every level has a par: the fewest moves the game's own solver needs.
Within two moves of par keeps all three. A little past that keeps two. Finishing at all keeps one.
Panda Garden: every pick is one tap, so the stars rate how tidy you kept the bar at the top.
Cats and Arrows: no par. A clean clear is three, each arrow tapped into another costs one, and a third bump ends the try.
Otherwise a level only ends early when the board cannot be finished any more. Trying again is a new try.
The stars you keep decide the coins the level pays.
How coins work
Twenty coins when you first open the app.
One purse for every game: coins earned in one game spend in any other.
From level 11, clearing a level for the first time pays two to five coins by the stars you kept. A replay pays only what beats your best.
Every world has its own free bag of five, once a day. Do the one small thing its chill zone asks first: fill the food bowl, feed a mole a gummy worm, toss an otter a clam, throw a yuzu, feed a turtle a leaf, give a hippo a melon, drag a fish into the water.
A ready bag shows as a coin floating by that world's animal on the home. Tap it to collect, no need to open the game.
Spend them in the shop on a life, food for the animal, outfits, things for the chill zone, and the big things you save for.
In a hurry? The shop sells bags of 50 or 100.
A level looks impossible
It is not. Every level is dealt by a solver and checked before it ships, so every one can be finished at par.
Try the level again (a new try, so it costs a life) and read the board afresh.
Most of the games put a Hint in the tray from level 30. It lights up a move you can make right now.
There is no sound
The ringer switch on an iPhone mutes most apps. Our games are set to play through it.
Open Settings on the home and make sure Music and Sound effects are on. They count for every game, and so does Vibration.
Each game's own settings can turn its music or sound off too, so check there as well.
The radio in each chill zone has its own play button.
My progress is gone
Progress is saved on the phone itself, not to an account. Deleting the app deletes it, and a new phone starts fresh.
The levels and unlimited lives are safe: they live with your store account, and Restore purchases brings them back.
Coins, the bought ones too, live in the app and go with it.
The app is in the wrong language
Animal Kingdom picks the phone's language the first time it opens, and falls back to English.
Each game keeps its own language: open that game's Settings and tap Language to choose any of the ten.
Language in the home's Settings sets the home's own words.
Dark mode
Animal Kingdom follows the phone's setting.
